Company was established in Batumi in February 1995 being one
of the first private agencies in the sea ports of the republic
of Georgia. As a ship agency the company began by handling bulk
carriers, dry cargo vessels and tankers at the port of Batumi
and within a short period gradually developing qualifications
of the personnel and level of services to the customers, the company
managed to attend 67% of vessels' calls at Batumi port as ship
agents. One year later, in 1996, following the demands of the
market for better and more competitive forwarding services, the
company set up a forwarding division with a professional team
trained in port handling and inland transportation to and from
transcaucasian republics and central Asian C.I.S. Countries. Currently
the company handles and forwards about 60% of general cargoes
and dry bulk commodities via Batumi port and performs customs'
brokerage procedure in all trading areas inside Georgia. In June
1997 the company entered the agency and forwarding shop at Poti
port and managed to handle a number of various size vessels until
now despite very tough competition from plenty one-day existing
agencies.
When we registered the company at Supsa - Georgia, the new customers
approached us for our services in handling their ships calling
at Supsa Marine Terminal for loading of azeri crude oil. Our experience
in handling of tankerships at Batumi where we as shipagency cover
99% of ships' calls has attracted the attention of new Supsa Oil
Terminal to our various offers how to quick up some routine procedures
for cutting down the time consumption for ships' clearance inward
/ outward. Our TeRo-Supsa Co. LTD runs shipagency activities at
the best of our knowledge and experience traditionally standing
by for the inquiries and services to the principals during twenty
- four hours on shinc basis.
We are proud to underline that our company is the first ship
and cargo forwarding agency in Georgia certified for ISO 9002
in March 1999.
